Why Asia's longest bi-direction road tunnel will prove a lifeline for Jammu and Kashmir

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate, on 2 April, the longest two-way road tunnel in Asia on the Jammu-Srinagar national road. The 10.89 km long-time Chenani-Nashri tunnel between Udhampur and Ramban is part of the proposed enlargement of the NH-44 (former NH-1A) from Jammu to Srinagar.
